Learn About the MRC

Selecting the right fraud protection system is a critical business decision. The wrong solution can create integration challenges, increase operational burden, weaken fraud defenses, or fail to deliver the expected return on investment. A well-developed Request for Proposal (RFP) helps organizations define their needs, compare vendors objectively, and select a solution that supports both fraud prevention goals and broader business priorities. This course provides a practical overview of the RFP lifecycle through the lens of selecting a fraud protection solution, such as a fraud detection platform, authentication tool, or chargeback management system. Learners will explore how to plan, draft, issue, evaluate, negotiate, and support implementation of an RFP using structured procurement practices. Whether you are new to procurement or looking to formalize your organization’s approach, this course gives you the tools and frameworks to lead vendor selection with confidence. Who Should Enroll? Procurement Professionals seeking a structured, repeatable framework for managing vendor evaluations and RFP projects from start to finish. Fraud and Risk Managers responsible for selecting fraud detection platforms, authentication tools, or chargeback management solutions. Operations and IT Leaders involved in vendor integration, technical requirements gathering, or implementation planning. Finance and Legal Stakeholders who contribute to cost evaluation, contract review, or compliance oversight during procurement processes. Business Leaders looking to understand how structured vendor selection supports transparency, accountability, and long-term business value. What You will Learn In this course, you’ll learn how to build and manage an RFP process for selecting a fraud protection solution. You’ll explore how to define the business problem, gather input from fraud/risk, IT, operations, finance, and legal stakeholders, document technical and operational requirements, compare vendor proposals fairly, and support the transition from selection to contracting and onboarding. The course focuses on practical decisions teams face when evaluating fraud detection platforms, authentication tools, chargeback management solutions, and other fraud prevention technologies. Welcome to the Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program This course provides an overview of how the Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program (VAMP) is designed to support the identification and management of fraud, dispute, and enumeration risk across the payments ecosystem. VAMP provides a unified framework to help acquirers, their registered agents, and merchants implement risk-based controls and oversight processes. It identifies participants whose fraud and dispute performance signals that controls need to be enhanced. The program is intended to focus on outlier behavior and support time-bound remediation. It is a call to identify and address gaps in risk control environments. Through this training, you will learn why the current program was introduced, how it works in practice from identification through remediation, as well as some best practices to reduce risk and enable earlier action, smoother remediation, and better coordination. Examples and practices in this course are illustrative and non-exhaustive. The appropriateness and implementation of particular practices or controls will depend on each organization’s systems, risk profile, operating model, customer experience, contractual arrangements, VAMP requirements, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Participants may wish to consult relevant legal, privacy, compliance, security, accessibility, and other internal stakeholders, as appropriate, when applying them. At the beginning of the course, you will select the learning path that best aligns with your role: Merchant Learning Path Acquirer Learning Path Each path contains role-specific guidance, operational considerations, and risk management responsibilities relevant to that audience.
